Continuous simulation language.

A simulation begins with a network model  or flow diagram showing the flow of entities. A SLAM II network is made up of nodes at which processing is performed. Common functions are entering and leaving the system, reserving resources, starting and stopping flows etc. Nodes are connected via `activities' which define the routing of the entities. Time delays represent processing times, travel times, or waiting times. Entities proceeding from node to node have `attributes' which determine their processing. Model development is done graphically.
